Food photography
Does anybody have any hints and tips for photographing food ?
Cheers.
Cheers.
I have been cooking for a few years now, if you make the food, remember that it's for photography and thus you don't need to season it.
Try to have it on the best plate you can think of, and for me personally i always like to use a pure black table cloth under the plate to make the food shine a bit more.
I try to stay away from using flash, but rather have the food lit enough to not needed.
Just like anything else, play around, take some macros. Play with the angles. I would be interested in seeing what you get.

i use potrit when i do food it works good on some camras but not all.
When i take pictures at weddings i do use a flash sometimes if there not enough light . what i do is point the flash at the ceiling to soften up the light. The light bounce off the ceiling onto the food.

You have to shoot in a very smooth and white light.
