French Guyana is one of the three French departments of America with Martinique and the Guadeloupe.
With nearly 84.000 km2, it is the vastest French department but also with the least density populated.

The tropical rainforest covers 97,3 percent of the department.
One counts in Guyana more than 5500 vegetable species and more than 1300 sorts of different trees.
