La particolare caratteristica dei massi, punteggiati da macchie di colore vivaci e in bella evidenza di luce, il secondo piano che suggerisce un paesaggio immenso, i colori variegati delle nuvole dall'aspetto dinamico, fino al culmine della croce a destra, come un punto di riferimento e di arrivo: un landscape ripreso magistralmente, dalla inquadratura alla trasparenza luminosa dell'aria.
