Downy Emerald
The downy emerald is a metallic green and bronze colored dragonfly with a thorax that is coated with fine hairs (hence its English name).
This species lives in woodlands near lakes and ponds and flies from may through july each year.
Dutch name : Smaragdlibel
German name : Falkenlibelle (auch Gemeine Smaragdlibelle genannt)
Latin name : Cordulia aenea
