La donna è colta in un momento di pausa, a inseguire i suoi pensieri, mentre con la mano distrattamente si tocca i capelli. La scena è ripresa in un b/n morbido, con una luce soffice che ombreggia appena il volto, in bella evidenza grazie al secondo piano sfocato per l'apertura del diaframma.
Un ritratto semplice, ma di bella fattura, nella sua immediatezza e sincerità di espressione.
