Nocturnal Bolero - An East River Impression
In a nocturnal bolero above the East River, on this December night, a Roosevelt Island Tramway cabin glides toward its destination and traffic surges on two levels of the Queensboro Bridge between Manhattan and Long Island City, while a bit to the north, deep below the river, rumble (or to keep the musical reference for lovers of trains and music, create a propulsive ostinato) a procession of Subway and Long Island Railroad trains on two levels of 63rd St Tunnel.
