Black-tailed Godwit

The black-tailed godwit is a rare and elegant wading bird that breeds in fens, lake edges, damp meadows and bogs.

In 2015, scientists announced that this bird is on the brink of extinction and urgently needs more protection.
But although classified as seriously threatened, black-tailed godwits may still be hunted in France with 6000 to 8000 birds estimated to be killed annual !!!
