empfing uns am frühen Morgen in Gold Harbour. Ein toter Seeelefantenbulle lag am Strand und um ihn herum stritten sich Riesensturmvögel und Raubmöwen um die besten Plätze am Kadaver.

Das Bild ist in seinem dokumentarischen Ansatz zweifellos berechtigt und aufrüttelnd, und es ist ein Stück der täglichen und realen Natur.
Es ist ebenso zweifellos für viele Bewunderer der hier zuhauf vertretenen "Hochglanz-GEO-Spezial-Bilder" abstoßend und vulgär.
Aber es ist rein fotografisch und von der minimal erwartbaren Bildgestaltung und motivischen Vollständigkeit m.E. weit von einem Galeriebild entfernt.
