Siwash Rock
on the Seawall around Vancouver's Staley Park - and West Vancouver across the water. My previous photo "First Snow" was taken here...
First Nation Legend says that the rock represents a warrior, who to ensure his child's future, was turned to stone to stand as a symbol of his purity and dedication to fatherhood.

Es ist immer wieder kaum zu glauben, mit wie wenig Erde manche Bäume auskommen. Sie machen sich sehr fein und dekorativ, auf dem Felsen!!! Und die Farben passen auch sehr gut zusammen... VG!Robert Buatois 08/11/2024 14:18
J'aime la vue de ce lieu, la légende qui s'y attache ainsi que la vue de l'homme en train de la lire sur la plaque. Il est vrai qu'en observant ce rocher, il a la silhouette d'un indien enveloppé dans sa cape avec l'arbre représentant sa plume.Amitiés
