Tunnel Shut Down
This is one of the collapsed side tunnels of the Malinta Tunnel. Quite a few collapsed during World War II and were never reconstructed or restored. Were it not for the spotlight aimed that the collapsed tunnel, this scene might as well have been the same as 65 years ago. Interestingly, during the war, each side tunnel served a different purpose... an office, a meeting place, a hospital ward, an armory...
unfortunately, no tripod available... so photo was taken without flash and my hands doing their darned best to keep still (lol).
